I would like to thank the incredibly generous audiences which attended All Saints Church to raise an astounding £2,224 for two local charities, Sid Valley Admiral Nurse and Charlotte Reid’s efforts for Brain Tumour Research.
Over 120 people each arrived to hear Peter Fung and director of La La Choirs Samantha Abraham’s truly inspiring set, watch films about the effects of brain tumours and Alzheimer’s disease and see the world premier of my ridiculous play A Midsummer Night’s Mermaid. Raffle tickets, hat badges from Charlotte, refreshment donations and a retiring collection saw audiences raise an amazing £1,040 over the two nights, in addition to the £5 entrance fee. As a result, each charity will receive over £1,000. This is Sidmouth at it’s very best and I am humbled by such generosity.
Thank-you, everyone - I’m truly grateful.
