Sidmouth Lion’s Club visited Newton Poppleford Rainbow Pre-school to present the newly re-opened group with a chocolate egg from their Easter raffle.
The giant chocolate treat had been one of the prizes in the Lions’ Easter Draws but had been donated back to the group by its winner. So President Ian Skinner decided the pre-schoolers, who lost all their toys when their premises were flooded in December last year, were deserving of the chocolate.
This week Ian and fellow Lion Ray Dodd presented leader Jane Simpson’s youngsters with the chocolate, which they promptly smashed open to take home with them in goodie bags.
