Sue Cumming, 65, with her Little Things stall has been coming to the festival for 30 years but announced this would be her last so she can care for her husband Rob who has Parkinson’s Disease.

“It’s just getting to the point where he can’t be at home on his own.

“His mobility is quite limited now, so it’s just too stressful for both of us for me to be away,” she said.

Her miniatures made from fimo polymer clay are particularly popular with the children. When she first came her children were five and eight and now they have children themselves.

“I’ve had so many people coming up to me and saying oh, you’re part of Sidmouth, we’ll miss you,” she said.

“I was here in ‘97 when it rained continuously and we were wading around in mud but it was still okay.

“I do a lot of festivals but this is my favourite.”
