A lively band that has been getting toes tapping since 1978 will be coming to Sidmouth as the 1st Sid Vale Scouts stage a barn dance at their new HQ.
Hips and Haws will be bringing their accordions, electric piano, whistle, trombone, electric bass and percussion to the Salcombe Regis Recreation Field venue on tomorrow (Saturday, March 25).
The band promises a good time for beginners and experienced dancers alike, thanks to the skill and patience of its regular caller.
Tickets (£7 or £4.50 for under- 16s, to include a ploughman’s supper) are available from Sambati’s, Jackdaw Antiques and Dormy House.
