A chance to see the work of Sidmouth artists, and buy a piece of art to take home

An open-air exhibition of paintings by members of the Sidmouth Society of Artists takes place at Connaught Gardens on Saturday August 25 between 10am and 5pm.

The pictures will also be for sale, mostly at discounted prices.

A society member said: ‘What could be better than being out in the sunshine in lovely gardens, looking at art by local artists and picking up a bargain at the same time?’”

There will also be a raffle, with a painting donated by local artist Bryan Dawkins as the prize. Bryan is the winner of the Marion Ovens award and also won the public vote on ‘Best in Show’ at the Society’s main exhibition earlier in the year. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Sidmouth Memory Café’s Admiral Nurse Campaign and will be added to the money raised by the society’s Charity Coffee Morning, which will be held at the Victoria Hotel in October.
