LOCAL Conservative Party women raised £40 for flood victims after a raffle at a recent one-day conference.

The cash, handed to the East Devon District Council Flood Relief Fund, was gratefully accepted by EDDC Leader Sara Randall Johnson.

Cllr Randall Johnson said "I am very grateful to the Conservative Women's Organisation for their kind donation. Ottery St Mary and the surrounding areas were badly hit by the floods and the donation will go towards helping local people. Many local families will not be back in their homes for Christmas and EDDC is working hard to ensure that life returns to normal in the areas that were hit by the floods".
