One crime has been reported in Branscombe this month.

As previously reported in the Herald, a car was broken into and a laptop and bag containing money and keys was taken.

PC Steve Speariett, Neighbourhood Beat Officer, warned people to be vigilant and to lock their cars.

However, he told parish councillors at their monthly meeting on Thursday, December 18 that reported crime is lower than that of previous years.

He said crime figures for the area are "very encouraging".
