The Beer branch of the R.A.O.B presented a cheque for £1,500 to Macmillan Nurses Cancer Support.

The money, which was raised by the Brothers of the Rattenbury Lodge over the past year, was handed to Tricia Heard, the district chairman of the East Devon Macmillan’s Nursing support.

Rob Abbott, pictured with Tricia, presented the cheque from the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes on Wednesday, April 27. Members of the social and charitable group, which is based at Beer Social Club, raised the money through sponsored walks, quiz nights, and a donation of £500 from the Axe Valley Runners for the ‘Buffalos’ acting as marshals during March’s Grizzly Run.
