Major’s death prompts East Devon plea

THE death of a man in East Yorkshire has prompted a police plea for next of kin who could be in East Devon.

Major John William Long, 80, was found dead in his home in Hessle on Sunday, April 22.

Humberside Police have established that Mr Long had a son and a daughter.

He was once married to Victoria Margaret Long. The couple divorced in 1972. They had links to East Devon.
