Man dies in hospital following collision on Four Elms Hill

A police spokesman confirmed a man in his mid 20s died in hospital. The next of kin has been informed.

Police have confirmed a man in his mid 20s died in hospital having been involved in a road traffic collision on Four Elms Hill last night.

Police, paramedics and two fire engines from Sidmouth were called out on Friday, July 28.

A police spokesman said officers were called at 7.49pm and requested the ambulance and fire service.

The spokesman said: “A male in his mid 20s died in hospital having been involved in a road traffic collision.

“The other car was also badly damaged but the young driver and his passenger were uninjured.

“The teenage female passenger of the deceased was uninjured. Two other vehicles were also damaged during the collision. Next of kin have been informed.”

The police spokesman said the road was closed until around 6am this morning.
