New research has revealed that British parents are set to pay out £658 million in child care alone over the school summer holidays. Recent reports suggest that the cost of child care across England has rocketed by 10% since last year's holidays. Other key findings, gained through a survey by Sainsbury's Finance, include:* 22% of adults who will be spending money on child care will spend on average around £257 each on child care over the holidays.* Parents will spend a total of around £387 each, or collectively £4.52 billion on their children through days out, shopping, taking them to restaurants, child care and giving them pocket money.* 3.2 million British parents don't have life insurance.
