Devenish Brewery served a notice on Mr. Webb terminating his tenancy at the public house in Russell Street, Sidmouth, on Tuesday. Mr. Webb decided however that while he has sufficient stock he will carry on serving.

Falling slates in gale force winds on Wednesday caused New Street, Sidmouth, to be closed to traffic. And the danger has forced the hand of Bass, the brewers, into repairing the roof of The Royal London Hotel.
