‘Save our surgery’ petition launched
Residents turned out in force to show their support for Sidmouth’s Blackmore Health Centre yesterday (Monday) morning after GPs raised concerns about its future.
East Devon MP Sir Hugo Swire arrived to meet with Sid Valley Practice partners, patient representatives and landlord NHS Property Services (NHSPS) to discuss the future of the town centre site.
Di Fuller, chairman of the Sid Valley Patient Participation Group, thanked everybody who turned out to show their support and urged residents to sign a petition calling on NHSPS to sell the property to the practice to ‘safeguard it for the community’.
