A RESIDENTIAL home in Tipton St John welcomed East Devon MP Hugo Swire to officially open their new sensory garden.
The ribbon cutting took place at the Angela Court annual fete, which raised £500 for the home and dementia charity BRACE.
The garden, which was built with the support of Sidmouth garden centre, features a number of raised beds planted with a range of brightly coloured plants and strong smelling herbs.
Teresa Doherty, care home manager, said the fete and opening ceremony had been a great success and that residents of the home were already enjoying the new garden.
BRACE has also benefitted from a recent raffle held at the Golden Lion Inn, and the charity will receive a total of £350 thanks to the village’s recent fundraising efforts.
