NATIONAL Trust supporters in Sidmouth flocked to its annual autumn fair and coffee morning and helped raise £660 for local projects.

The bumper sum was the highest in three years.

There was a buzz of conversation at the Methodist Church Hall last Saturday as people sought early Christmas presents on stalls that featured books, plants, cards and wrapping paper, clothes, bric-a-brac and very popular cakes and home produced goods.

A raffle drew a good crowd of hopeful winners.

The National Trust Sidmouth Centre Committee thanked everyone who helped and supported the event.

The organisation in turn has vowed to help to support the upkeep of the many beautiful National Trust properties, coastline and countryside in Devon.
