A bakery chain appears to have its sights set on opening in Sidmouth.

The Cornish Bakery, formerly Pasty Presto, has this week posted online recruitment adverts for a manager and assistant - with both referring to a new shop opening in the town.

The company has around 30 branches across the country and sells sell pasties, pastries and coffee.

The Herald approached The Cornish Bakery for a comment, but had not received a response as the paper went to press yesterday afternoon.
