Macmillan Cancer Support is delighted to welcome Diane Herbert as the new chairman in Sidmouth.
Diane said of her new role: “My own family has been affected by cancer and we have been very grateful to Macmillan for the support given. We look forward to hosting this year’s fundraising events and would love to see all our supporters new and old.
“I look forward to working with such a strong committee, who have raised a fabulous amount over the last 40 years that they have been running, to help people affected by cancer.”
Angie Lowe, Devon fundraising manager for Macmillan, said: “Diane will be a great leader for the Sidmouth committee who are very strong fundraisers in the community.
“Every day, 27 people in Devon and Cornwall are told the words ‘You have cancer’, so please support the events they organise where the funds raised go to help.”
