A NEW service for under fives and their families is being offered in Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary.
The Action for Children group has been nominated to set up and run three Sure Start Children's Centres in East Devon.
The group has set up temporary bases in Sidmouth and Ottery with a view to moving to permanent premises in Stowford Rise and the Old Convent respectively, in the near future.
Manager Fran Drayton said: "Children's centres meet the differing needs of families, where and when they are most wanted.
"As parents we all need the support of others at different times when our children are small, and children's centres are able to provide that support, whether formally through groups or informally through stay and plays."
