A clothing brand, which has branched out into brewing ale, has boosted Sidmouth Lifeboat.
The New Devon Army (NDA) sold pints from the lifeboat station to raise £250 for the charity.
The NDA’s Jason Thomas said: “The beer is a new venture for NDA. I have been friends with [lifeboat coxswain] Guy Russell for years and just wanted to do a bit of a fundraising for them. I think it worked well and the lifeboat crew were super happy with the amount raised in such a short time. We now have it [the ale] on tap in the Bedford Hotel.”
Guy (pictured) thanked Jason and his team for the ‘generosity, enthusiasm and support’ towards the lifeboat, adding: “The money raised, as always, helps us stay on call every day of the year, with a well-trained and passionate crew who are ready at any time to go to sea and help.”
