Sidmouth Voluntary Services has recruited three new helping hands to the team - but they always need more.

Newest recruit Wendy Williams has taken over the secretarial duties from Pat Luxton, who the charity is sorry to see retire on health reasons.

Amanda Johnson stepped into the role of chief warden after the retirement of Lesley West last year, and now is even helping cook the lunches when needed.

Judy Greene coordinates the car and minibus services as the charity’s transport officer, helping patients get as far as Exeter and Axminster.

The car service has been particularly busy in recent months and unfortunately has had to refuse a small number of requests.

Volunteers are paid all their expenses – to help out call Twyford House on 01395 515063.

A number of organisations are based there, including the Memory Café and the Talking Newspaper.
