SIDMOUTH’S valued Cancer Research UK charity shop has bagged itself a brand new manager.
Sharon Lupu, 48, of Church Lane, will take up the role on Tuesday, July 26.
Sharon, who has lived in Sidmouth for the last 20 years and previously worked as a volunteer at the Fore Street store, had spent three decades in the nursing profession.
“I’m really excited, it’s going to be a real challenge,” she told the Herald this week.
“I’ve already got a great bunch of volunteers and hope to get more of all ages.”
Sharon will stage a cheese and wine open evening at the shop on August 26, from 5pm to 8pm.
