IT WAS definitely not a case of "please sir can I have some more" as The New Ottregians donated profits from last months Oliver performances at The King's School to the Otter Vale Friends of Hospiscare.
The charity won't need to "pick a pocket or two" after their front of house exploits in partnership with the sell-out show raised £5,600. The New Ottregians handed over their share of £3000 in Ottery's United Reformed Church Hall last Wednesday.
Producer/director Helena Williams-Pugh said: "We are handing over a cheque for £3000, the show went extraordinarily well and we performed to full houses every night. We had a cast of 58, all working for free."
Friends of Hospiscare secretary Gwynneth Hedges said: "This is absolutely brilliant, its an incredible and wonderful contribution that will help so many people in the area. We really enjoyed working together, it's the best ever amount for the best ever show.
