The new branch of the Women’s Institute in Sidmouth is meeting at the Methodist church on Wednesday, October 10.

Organiser Mary Andrews said they are hoping to tap into renewed interest in the organisation from the younger generation, having had a lot of enquiries about starting a new group in the town.

“There is one at Newton Poppleford and one up at Core Hill, but nothing here in the town so we hope to rectify that with this branch,” she said.

The meting at the church, in the High Street, starts at 7.30pm.

Anyone is welcome to attend, for more details contact Mary on 01404 811000.
