THE main road running through Newton Poppleford was partially blocked after a two-car collision today (Friday).
The crash, involving a white Ford Transit and a silver Ford Escort, happened at around 5.25am on the A3052.
Police were called to the scene and on arrival found the Escort had hit a tree.
The drivers were suffering from minor injuries but did not need to go to hospital.
The road was closed for a short time while the vehicles were recovered and it was re-opened at around 7am.
