Sidmouth in Bloom is looking forward to the weekend when its first National Garden Scheme open day is set to take place in Sidmouth as lockdown restrictions start to ease.

Lynette Talbot from SIB said: “Now that we have turned a corner there’s still a need for caution, but Sidmouth can at least look ahead with some optimism with Byes Reach opening this weekend (Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11). As many of you may know, other Sidmouth gardens will be opening in the coming weeks.”

Byes Reach at 26 Coulsdon Road, Sidmouth EX10 9JP is a quarter acre garden with themed borders, potager-style veg garden, seasonal themed beds, a studio and greenhouse together with a fruit walkway, rill, ferns, rockery, a collection of hostas (not in season yet) and a fish pond. Seats and easy paved access for wheelchairs is provided

Time slots are given with restricted numbers to observe the Government’s guidelines. Pre-booked tickets are available for purchase on the NGS website at: ngs.org.uk/view-garden/35811
