EAST Devon District Council (EDDC) has reminded residents there are no elections in the region in May after a national television campaign gave the impression they were happening everywhere.
The next round of local elections will be for Devon County Council in 2013 and for EDDC and town and parish Councils in 2015.
The EDDC spokesman said: “Our electoral services team have been showered with enquiries from people wanting to know about our local elections – but there are none this year.
“We are still keen for people to register to vote so the list can be kept up to date, but they will not be called upon to vote in May.”
