A SEATON man has pleaded not guilty to stealing a TV and Digibox from the Dolphin Hotel, in Beer.
Daniel Arthur Valentine Noble, 45, from The Orchard, is alleged to have stolen the goods, valued at around �400, on February 19.
He entered the plea at Exeter Crown Court on Friday, August 27. It is claimed the items were taken from the reception area of the hotel, on the same evening a fundraising event was taking place in the function room.
Miss Recorder Munro QC ordered the case to be back before the court in two weeks, to allow time to see if a trial could be avoided.
She had concerns as to whether the case actually warranted the time and expense of a crown court trial.
