Open-air theatre production to be shown at Sidmouth gardens

The open-air production of ‘As You Like It’ is coming to Sidmouth’s award-winning Connaught Gardens.
The Shakespearian romantic comedy, about life, love, betrayal, faith and death, will be held on August 7 from 2pm by the Folksy Theatre.
Those wanting to attend have been invited to take along picnics, blankets and folding chairs.
Coun Iain Chubb, who is responsible for the environment, said: “The award-winning Connaught Gardens, which are managed by East Devon District Council, will be a beautiful setting for this wonderful Shakespeare production.
“Our parks are being used far more frequently for open air productions such as this, which offers something quite unique to local residents and visitors to East Devon.”

The gates open at 1pm and tickets in advance are £13.50 for adults, £10 for concessions and £8 for children. Tickets at the gate will cost more.
