CALLING ALL TRAIN ENTHUSIASTS: Pecorama in Beer will be holding a transport enthusiasts’ weekend, in conjunction with Seaton Trams and South West Trains on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24.

UNUSUAL ALES: Both pubs in Branscombe are hosting beer festivals in the coming weeks. The Fountainhead’s event, from Friday 22 to Sunday 24, features the music of That’ll be the Day, Alan West & Steve Black, Daniella & Brent, The Tony Taylor Duo and Hobby Horse. While The Masons’ Arms festival from July 13 to 15 promises to be a “lively event” with “unusual ales”, organisers said.

RANGER POSITION: Monday, June 18 is the last day to apply to become a volunteer ranger with the National Trust in Branscombe. The position is for four days per week for a minimum of six months.
