AN Ambulance raced to North Street in the early hours of Sunday morning after a teenager collapsed.

A concerned resident, who did not wish to be named, said she helped a young male, who was part of a group of teens walking back to Honiton after a night out in Ottery.

She said two off-duty police officers then stopped to help the youngster and called an ambulance.

An ambulance spokeswoman said two crews were called to the scene at around 12.30am and a male was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in Exeter.
