Ottery and West Hill Neighbourhood Plan to be passed on to Planning Inspector
PUBLISHED: 12:00 26 November 2017
District chiefs are set to back Ottery and West Hill’s Neighbourhood Plan next week before it is assessed by the Planning Inspector.
Members of the cabinet have been asked to consider a response and note the formal submission of the plan ahead of the end of its consultation period on Friday, December 1.
Officers have recommended the council does not submit a response, as concerns had been addressed in meetings with the steering group.
The report also congratulated project leaders for their ‘dedicated hard work and commitment’ in producing the document over the last two years.
The officer said: “The Neighbourhood Plan steering group met with officers to discuss these concerns and amended the plan accordingly so that these potential objections have been overcome. There are no major areas of disparity which the district council considers need to be addressed.”
A planning inspector will assess the plan, and if satisfied, will recommend it for a referendum.
