Ottery ball to boost injured war heroes
AN Ottery woman, inspired by her step-son s military exploits, has organised a charity ball next month boost for servicemen and women injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
AN Ottery woman, inspired by her step-son's military exploits, has organised a charity ball next month boost for servicemen and women injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Eva White, of Chineway Gardens, hopes the event in The Institute on June 6 will raise cash and awareness of the Help For Heroes charity.
Eva's stepson Darren has recently returned from a stint serving in Afghanistan.
Highlights of the evening, which begins at 7.30pm, will include live music, a bar, buffet and silent auction.
