THE Ottery Silver Band will kick off its Christmas itinerary with a double header of festive performances next week.
The group begins its yuletide series of concerts in Whimple Village Hall at 8.30pm on Saturday, December 5 before heading to Otter Nurseries at 2pm on Sunday, December 7.
Band member John Marriott said: "During these long, dark evenings, the warmth of the harmonies produced is an ideal antidote for the chilly winter blasts.
The band's Christmas Concert, which marks the highlight of the group's year, will take place in The Institute on December 13.
