THE Ottery St Mary Choral Society raised 163 for Hospiscare at its annual dinner last week.
The event, held in the Tumbling Wier Hotel, saw jovial society members enjoy a tasty meal and take part in puzzles, quizzes, a raffle and a spot of singing.
Society member Jane Blake said: "A series of songs by Michael Flanders and Donald Swann were performed by Michael Gascoigne-Pees, John Neal and Ben Laite to much laughter from the crowd. Everyone joined in with the final chorus of "Mud Mud Glorious Mud." Kyle Hayes accompanied the singers.
