OTTERY officials want the leader of East Devon District Council to play a more visible role in the parish.
Town councillors agreed on Monday to write to Sara Randall Johnson, who is a district councillor for the Ottery St Mary rural ward, and ask her to "occasionally" pen a report on "what she thinks of the area".
District councillors Ray Bloxham and Roger Giles, who is also a county councillor, were commended for keeping their town council colleagues informed of their activities in representing the parish.
