OTTERY'S drawn out dog-ban debate will drag on after East Devon District Council (EDDC) again deferred the issue.
Residents who turned up to the council's full meeting on Wednesday were left disappointed when a resolution wasn't reached over the location and size of a mooted dog-walking area at the Winters Lane playing field.
The matter had been previously deferred in June when EDDC's executive board voted to ban pooches from the Winters Lane site and restrict them to leads at the Land of Canaan.
Council leader Sara Randall Johnson said the matter will be finalised in September as a recent public consultation had not found a "suitable resolution" on the matter.
