Councillor Glyn Dobson retained his position on Monday night as did Cllr Ian Holmes as his deputy.

Mr Dobson told residents at Ottery's annual parish meeting last week an Ottery Sainsbury's will bring problems to the town, but also opportunities.

"I hope the town centre will prosper from extra footfall and free parking," he said.

Ottery residents will get the chance to vote in representatives next year when local elections take place.
