Ottery festival success could see more events in town

THE success of a music festival held at Ottery Football Club will see the venue stage similar events in the future.

THE success of a music festival held at Ottery Football Club will see the venue stage similar events in the future.

Otter Daze on August 29 sold 450 tickets and was the first event of its type arranged by the club.

"We'd looked at it for some time because the venue just cries out for events like this," said committee Bill Hayes, adding: "We've had music events in the hall but wanted to try something on a bigger scale. Because we didn't have the experience of doing such an event, and because we would be at the mercy of the weather, it was a bit scary but we were all determined to give it our best.

"We will definitely be looking to build on the success of the event, and our experience of putting it together, to deliver a bigger and better one next year.
