FIRE fighters in Ottery had more than 100 drivers waxing lyrical about their car-washing skills on Saturday, raising �657 for charity in the process.
The bumper cash total will go to The Fire Fighters Charity after crew from the town spent hours scrubbing a steady stream bonnets, chassis' and windscreens.
"It felt like we did hundreds," said crew commander Gary Shaw, who thanked the town for its support, adding: "The last one of the day was the world's biggest camper van!
"It was a good day's work and a good amount of money.
