Accidental fire destroys 200 hay bales and outbuilding near Exeter
A FIRE crew from Ottery St Mary helped fight a blaze at outbuildings used for storing hay at Marsh Green near Exeter, on Friday.
Other fire appliances from Middlemoor and Danes Castle, Exeter, attended the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally.
Fire crews confirmed one single storey outbuilding measuring 15 metres by eight metres, was destroyed in the inferno, along with approximately 200 hay bales.
Fire fighters extinguished the building fire using one hose reel jet and one main jet via a street hydrant.
