Firefighters from Ottery St Mary were called out to Aylesbeare after reports of a bonfire ‘out of control’.
The fire service received a call that an outbuilding was on fire near Hawkerland Cross at 1.46pm on Monday, April 24.
The crew were joined by a fire engine from Middlemoor.
A fire spokesman said: “Upon arrival crews confirmed a bonfire out of control which had spread to a nearby container containing household goods. Crews used small tools and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.”
