Ottery firefighters tackle caravan blaze

FIREFIGHTERS from Ottery tackled a caravan blaze in a field next to the A30 near Daisymount last weekend.

FIREFIGHTERS from Ottery tackled a caravan blaze in a field next to the A30 near Daisymount last weekend.

The caravan was totally destroyed by flames as emergency services arrived on the scene at around 9.30 am on Septembe 7.

A fire service spokesperson said: "On arrival the crews stated that the caravan was well alight and got to work with two breathing apparatus and one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
