Ottery firefighters tackle Whimple farm blaze

Crews arrive to find outbuilding issuing smoke and flames

Firefighters from Ottery St Mary, Middlemoor and a water bowser from Danes Castle are curently tackling a blaze in a farm outbulding at Rull Lane, Whimple

Crews arrived on scene at around 6am this morning (April 27) and confirmed one agricultural outbuilding with smoke and flames issuing. Crews got to work with one compressed air foam jet and one hose reel jet tackling the fire.

At 7.20am crews increased their use of compressed air foam. Western Power attended and isolated the electrics to the building.
