YONDER Close fundraisers in Ottery are gearing up for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning next Friday in a boost to help cancer sufferers.
The town’s Yonder Close Social Club will again host the event on September 24 to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The group of sheltered housing residents last year raised more than �1,000. “Many of us know someone affected by cancer – including one of our organisers,” said Yonder Close club chairman, Richard Cunningham-Wood.
Richard’s wife, Pamela, said: “We have a variety of stalls and a raffle and hope to raise even more smiles and money than we did last year.”
The event will take place from 9.30am to 12noon.
