OTTERY Hospital staff members have been honoured at an NHS awards ceremony.
Deputy matron Kath Lewis and locality manager Sarah Dent were presented with their gongs at NHS Devon's annual general meeting last month after being nominated by members of the public.
Clive Robertson, chair of NHS Devon's provider services committee, has praised the hard-working duo.
Kath's 'inspiration award' recognises individuals who have inspired, motivated or encouraged others.
Mr Robertson said: "Kath is a very dedicated ward manager. She is reliable, caring and is an inspiration to staff who work with her. Her patients always come first.
Sarah was singled out as a staff member who deserved recognition for the job they have done and bagged the 'health and social care delivery' award.
Mr Robertson said of her: "Sarah is an amazing manager and always willing to help, she goes the extra mile to ensure all the services within the hospital are working well and supports all her colleagues and anyone can go to her with a problem.
"She wants Ottery to give the best possible service.
