Natalie Taylor and Leila Stone joined forces to buy the life-saving equipment by leaping from 15,000ft out of a plane on Sunday.

Raleigh Road resident Natalie came up with the idea as her daughter Paris is due to start at the school in September 2018.

The three-year-old suffers from prolonged seizures which can lead to cardiac arrest.

Due to her duaghter’s condition, the mum-of-two was inspired to set up a first aid business to help parents.

Natalie, 31, said: “Myself and Leila are feeling so proud of what we have achieved and super relieved to have landed safely.

“The whole experience was amazing. We have been very lucky and have had a lot of support with fundraising from family, parents at school and also two local businesses - Whittons in Honiton and Emma Chourot at Feniton Dental Practice, meaning our target was reached and a little more.”

Mum-of-two Leila said she was ‘terrified’ heading into the skydive, but it was an ‘amazing experience’ to raise money for the school.

Leila, of St Anthony’s Close, said: “We’re so pleased it went well - it wasn’t just abut the skydive, it was about raising the money and we have had great support from everyone at the school.

“We both hope it [the defibrillator] will sit there and collect dust for the next 20 years - that would be the best option, but it’s there to save someone’s life. That’s what it is - a piece of life-saving equipment - and it could make the difference.”
