A fundraiser will be stopping in Ottery as he makes his 7,900-mile trip around the country to see every Salvation Army centre along the way.
Salvationist Andy Peddle, from High Wycombe, is visiting the Hind Street corps as part of an 18-month sponsored walk across the UK.
He will be greeted by Mayor Glyn Dobson, a brass band, and organisers hope townsfolk will also be there to welcome him.
Andy hopes to raise £100,000 for the organisation’s work with homeless people and victims of human trafficking.
Cream teas will be available for £1.50 and all proceeds will go towards Andy’s cause. He is set to arrive in Ottery at 2pm on July 24. Phone Stella on 07515798568 for more information.
