PETANQUE players in Ottery raised £208 for Hospiscare on Sunday.

Twenty players gathered on Sunday for the annual boules event, which saw ten teams compete, in memory of former members who have been helped by the cause during illness over the years.

The Ottery St Mary Petanque Club has raised more than £3,500 for Hospiscare.

Winners after a long days play were Joan Dixie and Keith Brealey from ISCA Pétanque Club, beating Ottery counterparts Rose and John Thatcher by just two points.
