Speed, agility and teamwork were all on display when Ottery Primary School pupils competed in their annual sports day.
The youngsters had their eyes on the prize last Thursday when they worked together to take on a series of sporting challenges.
Key stage two students spent the morning completing a carousel of activities including bean bag fetch, obstacle relay and a tug-of-war competition, which was won by Chanters house – one of the school’s four houses.
Following the conclusion of the morning’s events, the youngsters enjoyed lunch with their parents and the rest of the school before taking part in a range of sprints and relay races. Cadhay house were announced the overall winners. The next day, key stage one competed in their own sports day, featuring more events testing their skills. Matt Hughes, PE coordinator, said it was brilliant to watch pupils try their best and make their houses proud.
He added: “It’s a nice community event.”
