The founder of the Karen Hall 10k Run through Ottery hails this year’s as ‘the best yet’ after raising more than 2,000 for charity.
Estate agent Nick Hall said last Sunday’s 10 kilometre run through the town was absolutely wonderful, and sponsors FORCE say they want to make it one of its major events and promise next year will be even bigger and better.
More than 200 runners from running clubs across East Devon took to the streets of Ottery to raise money for the cancer charity and compete for the prizes.
And this year a one mile fun run for children was introduced which was also a big success. Nick said: “It was a great day for the town, and the runners seem to love running in Ottery.”
Set up by Nick and his wife Karen a number of years ago and later renamed after her death, the race is a chance to get people in the town running and get together for the day.
